NEW BUILDING, NEW PEOPLE, NEW ATTITUDE

I begin with a feeling that, although we have had some set backs in gaining ground on the new building, we have gained many new members, and this is positive momentum. I have been lax in maintaining my comments in the Commanders Corner, but as you will see from now on, this will be a more informative portion of this website.

We are working diligently to secure the necessary funding to get the building built and have received many pledges to accomplish this task. We have many programs that are geared at assisting in the Building Fund. ie: Chrissie’s Bike Ride, The Commemorative Brick Program, and we have many fundraisers planned. I will post the new ones when we have them completed and how you can assist in their success.

Let me close by saying how grateful I am of all the efforts from our members. Whether you are a Regular VFW Member, an Auxiliary Member, or an Associate Member, you are doing a great job and I can’t express enough my sincere thanks for all you do. Please continue to assist me, and the Post, to accomplish this most important task. God Bless You, Your Family, Your Friends & God Bless The United States of America. Cpt. Jack

A Sailor Who will be sorely missed.

On Wednesday February 21, 2024, Post 7012 Auxiliary lost one of its most popular members and one of the Post favorite Veterans. Ray Pesta a Navy Veteran and beloved widower, sometimes know as Romeo Ray for his pleasant demeanor and the fact that all the ladies adored him. Ray’s support and his cheerfulness made coming to the canteen and the Post a great experience for all who encountered him. We will miss you Brother and the support you have given the Post. RIP & God Bless
