Movie Night Featuring An Officer and a Gentleman
Zack Mayo (Richard Gere), a new member of the U.S. Navy, has a bad attitude. When he signs up for the Aviation Academy, he is met with the strict leadership of Sgt. Emil Foley (Louis Gossett Jr.), who gives Zack a rude awakening in terms of relating with other people. Give Local York 24 Hour Fundraiser
💸Give Local York’s 24-Hour Fundraiser will feature Post 7012 as one of its recipients on May 2nd-3rd. This is the modern-day version of a telethon…a giving spree to benefit local nonprofits. Derby de Mayo or Cinco de Derby
We’re combining two celebrations in one night… Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo. We’ll be watching the race while eating tacos and drinking margaritas. Wear a sombrero or a fascinator… prizes for the best of both

Chrissie’s 1/2 Way to Veteran’s Day
All are invited to attend “Chrissie’s 1/2 Way to Veterans Day Celebration” on May 10th at the New Freedom VFW Post 7012. Doors open at 5:00, Marshall Stone will be performing from 7-10:00, and South County Brewing will be the headliner of our taps for the night. This event is open to the public and is taking place on the upper level of Post 7012. Food and drink will be available for purchase throughout the night. Chrissie is the VFW bar manager and has pledged to bike 5000 miles in 2024 by Veterans Day. This night of celebration is to commemorate her 1/2 way milestone of this fundraising and veteran recognition campaign. We invite you to come and celebrate the milestone, the mission, and our Veterans.

Movie Night featuring the Breakfast Club
Five high school students from different walks of life endure a Saturday detention under a power-hungry principal (Paul Gleason). The disparate group includes rebel John (Judd Nelson), princess Claire (Molly Ringwald), outcast Allison (Ally Sheedy), brainy Brian (Anthony Michael Hall) and Andrew (Emilio Estevez), the jock. Each has a chance to tell his or her story, making the others see them a little differently -- and when the day ends, they question whether school will ever be the same.

Mondays are rough, dinner doesn’t have to be! Visit Chick-fil-A for dinner between 5 & 7:00 on March 25th and place an order for “Spirit Night”… and they will donate a portion of your total to Post 7012. Simply tell them it is a Spirit Night order and they’ll do the rest. Applies to mobile, catering and pick up orders also, just list “spirit night” in the special instructions field.

Valentine’s Day Dinner
Chefs Tom and Eric invite you to a Valentine’s Day Dinner. They have planned some fabulous fare for their guests. Entree options are Prime Rib with mashed potatoes and asparagus or Seafood Scampi consisting of crab and shrimp
over pasta. Dessert options are Crème Brûlée or Apple Cranberry Bread Pudding with Salted Caramel Drizzle. Tickets are available in the canteen and must be purchased in advance by 2/11. Cost is $30 per person. This event is open to all…singles, couples, friends, family.
