September is off to a great start at Post 7012. If you haven’t read the most recent update from Commander Jack, we encourage you to do so in this website's “Building Update” and “Commander’s Corner” sections. There is news about our future location and the addition of a Club Manager who will facilitate getting the Canteen staff prepared and running smoothly in anticipation of expanding our presence in the community. Excitement is building and we welcome you to join in making Post 7012 the heartbeat of New Freedom.
The Post is closed today, but here is a list of reminders on what we have planned for members and guests this week. Check out the calendar section of this page to see everything else planned in September.
🪕Wednesday, 9.11.24…Back by popular demand…it’s theAcoustic Jam Session with Jessie and Friends from 6:30-9 This weekly and free event takes place in the Blades Dining Room and is open to all acoustic musicians, singers, and fans of live music (non-members will be signed in as Jessie’s guests) Wednesdays are also our Burger and Wing Night so plan to join us for dinner and music.
🇺🇸Thursday, 9.12.24…A new twist on Shrimp Night with a Grand Marnier Shrimp and Grits Dinner before the Home Association Meeting at 7:00. Open to all members of Post 7012, these monthly meetings provide the opportunity for members to ask questions, offer input, stay informed, and be involved with plans and procedures for Post 7012. All are encouraged to attend.
☘️Friday, 9.13.24…Our Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Party. Join us for a time of Shamrocks and Shenanigans…starting at 3:00 we’ll have some favorite Irish beverages and at 4:00 a Guinness Stew. Then stick around for a time of merriment and song from our favorite Irish entertainer beginning at 8:00
💰Saturday, 9.14.24…Cash Bingo at 7:00. Bring your friends and family to play. Cards are $1 each or 30 for $25 with a $5/card Blackout Finale game. Come early for dinner and drinks- no one likes to win on an empty stomach.
🍳 Sunday, 9.15.24...Sunday Brunch and Munch starting at 11:00. Join us every Sunday at 11:00… we’ll offer a Brunch Buffet for $10.99 with the option to add a Bloody Mary or Chrissie Sunrise for $2. At 2:00 the Munch Buffet begins…“All you can eat Wings and Baked Potatoes” for $14.99 with the option to add a domestic draft beer for an additional $1. Available to members and guests of the VFW.

🇺🇸Our newly renovated hall is available to rent for members and non-members. Plan your next family reunion, birthday party, event, or holiday gathering with us. Referrals and recommendations are appreciated and all are welcome to stop by during business hours to take a look.
🎓The Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen Scholarship Programs are underway and accepting applications until October 31st. See the attached flyers for more information on how students can submit their essays.
🧱 Our commemorative brick sale is ongoing and bricks are available for purchase to be placed at our future location. Order a brick in honor or memory of someone who served, or one that shows your support as a business or family/friend of VFW Post 7012. See the attached rendering of the proposed Memorial/Honor Brick Display and the order form for your bricks.
