Here’s your last Monday Newsletter for August 2025:

🍽️ Tonight-join your fellow VFW Post 7012 members for dinner at the New Freedom Restaurant. A group dinner will be taking place at 6:00 with a 10% discount. All are invited to join this night out. Please contact Chrissie at 717-880-5998 if you would like to be added to the reservation.

🪕Wednesday, August 27th: Bluegrass in the Blades…this weekly event is available to acoustic musicians, singers, and fans of bluegrass music. Non-members will be signed in as guests.

🪖Thursday, August 28th: Regular Members/Combat Veterans meeting at 7:00 in the Blades Dining Room.

🤠Also Thursday: Line Dancing with Kyrsten in the Upstairs Dance Hall. Come for the instruction, open dance, or to be a spectator. Post 7012 provides a Concession Stand and Beverage/Bar Service during this event. Doors open at 6:00 for dinner before dancing. No outside food or drink permitted, cash only.

🛣️Friday, August 29th: Auxiliary Members will be stationed at the 83 Rest Area to greet travelers and provide refreshment. Interstate 83 is designated as the “Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Memorial Highway” in all of Pennsylvania and we are proud to have the Auxiliary representing Post 7012 at the first northbound Rest Area.

In September:

🏈Friday, September 5th: Touchdown Trivia Night. Huddle up, trivia fans-it's game time! Grab your teammates and get ready for the 7:00 PM Kickoff. Blitz through rounds of football facts & fun challenges. Throw a Hail Mary on bonus questions and Score big. Don’t get benched…Fuel up and hydrate at our stadium concession and beverage stand.

🍽️ Sunday, September 7th: 130 Raffle Dinner and the return of Potluck Sundays in the Canteen. Sunday hours resume at 12:30 and all are invited to tailgate. Bring your favorite dish to share on Sundays during football season.

🎨Sunday, September 28th: Give Thanks Paint Party.

👷‍♂️Many of our members have reported driving by or visiting the construction site of our future location and we love hearing the excitement and progress reports. If you visit, be sure to tell the workers how much Post 7012 appreciates their hard work. Feel free to also snap a picture and submit it to be featured in our online album so members near and far can experience the chronological construction of our new home.
