May is off to a great start at Post 7012. Thank you to everyone who came out for the Derby de Mayo Chili Cook-off and festivities. The winner of the Chili cook-off was Bonnie Nicholas, 2nd place was Kathy Truitt and 3rd was Cheri Thompson. Thank you to our MC, Rowdy Rick for planning this night of fun.

The post is closed today but here are some reminders and announcements:

In the canteen:

Our new menu is now available. We’ve added some starters, baskets and desserts and look forward to serving them on your next visit.

Sunday Brunch has ended for the season but will return in the fall. Sunday hours for the canteen will be 2-7:00.

Hanging flower baskets are still available for purchase in the canteen while supplies last.

Tuesday, May 6th: Golf Outing Planning Meeting 6:30.

Auxiliary Meeting 7:00, All Auxiliary Members are encouraged to attend and participate. Auxiliary-sponsored events and community outreach programs are planned and discussed during these monthly meetings and your input and involvement is appreciated and necessary in making them a success

Easy Listening Jam Session with Jessie in the Blades Dining Room 7-9:00 Easy Listening Jam Session with Jessie. This weekly and free event takes place in the Blades Dining Room and is open to all acoustic musicians, singers and fans of live music (non-members will be signed in as Jessie’s guests)

Wednesday, May 7th: Bluegrass Jam Session in the Blades Dining Room 6-9:00.

Thursday, May 8th: Home Association Meeting, 7:00 Open to all members of Post 7012…these monthly meetings provide the opportunity for members to ask questions, offer input, stay informed, and be involved with plans and procedures for Post 7012. All are encouraged to attend.

Saturday, May 10th: Cash Bingo 7:00. Reserve a table for your group by calling or texting 717.880.5998.
