Welcome to a new week! The Post is closed today but here is a list of reminders and announcements to keep you informed.
This week:
🇺🇸 Thursday the 25th: Regular Members/Combat Veterans Meeting at 7:00. Regular Members are encouraged to attend to aid in voting and decisions regarding current and future matters for Post 7012
Also Thursday: Bluegrass Jam Session with Jessie and Friends from 6-9:00 in the Blades Dining Room. This will be a weekly event available to acoustic musicians, singers, and fans of live music.
Next week:
🇺🇸 Wednesday, January 31st is movie night at 7:00 featuring “Where Eagles Dare” starring Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton. The film follows a Special Ops team of men attempting to save a captured American General.
🇺🇸 Thursday, February 1st: Bluegrass Jam Session with Jessie 6-9:00
🇺🇸 Friday: Weekly Dinner Special- Ground Hog Pot Pie…just kidding! Next Friday IS Groundhog Day but our special is still being developed and will be announced soon.
Other announcements:
🧥 This is the last week for the “Coats of Friendship” campaign. The collection bin for new or gently used coats, hats and winter wear is located just inside the canteen entrance. Your donated items will be distributed to those in need in York County.
🧱 Thank you to everyone who contributed to the donation jar collecting funds for a brick in memory of Regular Member Dickie Lee, who passed unexpectedly on December 1st, 2023. His brick will be ordered from our commemorative brick fundraiser and placed at our future location. This fundraiser is ongoing and bricks are available to honor Veterans and non-veterans alike. Order yours to be placed in the Veteran “Memorial and Honor Garden” or in the “Sponsor and Support” section of Post 7012. Both will be permanent and proud displays. Order forms are available in the canteen or at the QR code in the attached document.
❤️ Save the date: Chef’s Tom and Eric will be offering a Sweetheart and Singles Dinner for Valentine’s Day (2/14/24) This will be a ticketed dinner event, details on the menu and ticket purchase will be announced this week.
🏈 The canteen will be hosting a Super Bowl Party on 2/11. Details coming soon on menu and drink offerings.
