FAREWELL COMRADE

It is with a very heavy heart that I must report the passing of one of the best members of Post 7012 Ed Dixon. Ed was the Post Quartermaster & Service Officer when I joined the Post in 2006. It was a time when He was trying to limit his service to the post by finding a new Service Officer. He approached me and asked if I would assume that responsibility. With his guidance and a attitude to help my fellow veterans, I assumed his duties and went on to be certified Service Officer with the VFW. Ed helped many veterans in his tenure as Service Officer & I was proud to have been trained by him and carry-on his fine service to all veterans. I will miss you Ed and the wisdom he gave me. You made your last roll call Comrade, God rest your soul & your place in heaven.
