Monday Newsletter 6.9.25 🇺🇸

We’re back to the start of a new week and new opportunities… Post 7012 is closed today but here is a list of activities for the week and other reminders.

Tuesday, June 10th: Jessie’s Easy Listening Jam Session in the Blades Dining Room 7-9:00. All acoustic musicians welcome to join.

Wednesday, June 11th: Bluegrass in the Blades 6-9:00. All performers and fans of Bluegrass are welcome to enjoy this weekly and free event.

Thursday, June 12th: Home Association Meeting in the Blades Dining Room at 7:00. Open to ALL members of Post 7012, these monthly meetings provide the opportunity to ask questions, offer input, stay informed, and be involved with plans and procedures for Post 7012. All are encouraged to attend.

Also that night…Line Dancing with Kyrsten in the Upstairs Dance Hall at 7:00. Kyrsten hosts an instructional and fun event for all with a $5 cover charge. Food and drink are available for purchase during the event from Post 7012.

Saturday, June 14th: Cash Bingo Upstairs at 7:00. Bingo Hall opens at 5:00 for Food and Drink, games start at 7:00.

We need your help… with frequent rentals of our renovated hall and newly obtained catering license, it is necessary to keep the back hallway and steps of the canteen closed off for transport of food by our staff. Members are welcome and invited to attend events (like Bingo and Line Dancing) but will need to use the outside entrances (steps on W Main or the Handicap entrance along 3rd St) to gain access to the Upstairs area. Thank you for your cooperation.

If you haven’t heard the news…. groundbreaking on our future location will be on July 24th. Plan to attend this milestone and celebration (see attached flyer for details)

There’s still time to order your commemorative brick for our new location. Order one in honor or memory of a Veteran OR one that shows your support as a business or family/friend of VFW Post 7012. See the attached flyer for details on ordering/purchasing and the accompanying picture to see what brick placement plans are for our future location. The “Patriot Garden” section will honor military service members and be designed to bloom throughout the growing season with predominantly red, white, and blue flowers.

Additionally, we are working on a Unit Patch collection to also be displayed in our new facility. If you have one to donate it can be dropped off in the canteen.
