So much has already happened in May, and so much more is to come in this Month of Military Appreciation. The Post is closed today but here is a rundown of upcoming events, both on and off site, that you won’t want to miss…
This week:
🇺🇸 Armed Forces Week with our Friends and Partners at Mission BBQ (see attached flyer for details)
🪕Wednesday, 5.15- Bluegrass Jam Session with Jessie and Friends from 6-9:00 in the Blades Dining Room. This free and weekly event is open to musicians, singers and fans of live music.
🍺 Thursday, 5.16- Fundraiser Night with our Friends at Vortex Brewing Co. Visit their location from 5-9:00 and they will donate a portion of sales to Post 7012.
🇺🇸 Saturday, 5.18- Armed Forces Day and Rotary of SYC’s 7th Annual Flags for Heroes at the New Freedom Green, 11:00. Later that evening, join the Preakness Party in the Canteen…race time: 6:50
Additionally in May:
⛳️ Monday, 5.20- 4th Annual Golf Outing. See attached flyer for details. Players and volunteers are welcome to return to the canteen afterward for liquid refreshment
🧑🎓 Wednesday, 5.22- a time of visitation and congratulations to our junior chef, Evan, on his last day. Evan will be graduating from Susquehannock and has enlisted with the USAF. Stop in after 5:00 to wish him well and have some cake.
🇺🇸 Thursday, 5.23- Regular Members/Combat Veterans Meeting at 7:00. All Regular Members are encouraged to attend.
🇺🇸 Friday, 5.24- Auxiliary Members at the Rest Stop.
❓Saturday, 5.25-Trivia and Tunes with Tommy at 7:00… come play as a team or solo to win the 1st place prize 💰
🇺🇸 Monday, May 27th- Memorial Day Service at Veterans Park @ 11:00. Report to the Canteen afterward for hot dogs and a cash bar until 2:00.
🎤 Saturday, June 1st- Karaoke Night from 7-9:00
