Memorial Day Newsletter 5.26.25

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or the unofficial start of summer—it’s a solemn and powerful reminder of the cost of freedom. Today, we pause to honor the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is a debt we can never fully repay, but we can strive to live lives worthy of their courage.

As we gather with family and friends, let us remember the fallen—not just as soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines, but as sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers. Each life lost represents a story of bravery, love, and unwavering commitment to something greater than self.

Let us carry their legacy forward—not only in words, but in action. By standing for justice, showing compassion to one another, and upholding the values they died defending, we ensure that their sacrifice was not in vain.

Today, we remember. Today, we honor. And today, we say thank you.

Post 7012 invites all to attend the Memorial Day Service at 11:00 today, Veteran’s Park New Freedom.

Below are the entries from our Patriotic Coloring Contest… thank you to the Young Patriots who participated, we are proud to display your artwork on Memorial Day in honor and support of those who paid the ultimate price, of those still serving, and all of our Veterans.
